Unhappy 0.9.5.4497 is a huge disappointment

I know, I know, it's Alpha. But with the GREAT stability of 0.9.3964 upgrading to 0.9.5.4497 has been nothing but a nightmare for me and a lot of others. Maybe the boxee team got caught up in all of the media hype over the past month about boxee and tried to add too many new features instead of working on more stability.

I guess we've just been spoiled up until this latest release.

0.9.3964 felt like a late beta, maybe even an RC1

0.9.5.4497 feels like an 0.1 alpha

I think I'm going to go back to 0.9.3964 until at least the next release.

Don't get me wrong, I still stand behind boxee and LOVE it, but this latest release instead of feeling like a step forward feels more like a few steps back.

Shame because i was really looking forward to this release (was looking like good progress). Ive downloaded it onto my macbook pro and it seems quite good however i darent download it into my HTPC as i may loose the secondary display and that will render it useless to me.

I haven't tried the previous releases as i'm all new to Boxee - I have a ATV so i know i'm in the wrong section but i just read the post and thought i would throw in my 2 cents - my biggest problem and i think it classifies as a critical Bug, I can only run Boxee once then i have to reinstall it, i have not spend a whole lot of time investigating this issue yet so you will here more from me later one.

For me the only real set back was that my TV Shows where not recognized so I had to clear the library. Now it's re-importing everything again. This takes days to complete. Since I don't live in the USA all the new options aren't really for me. I just would like to have perfect iTunes/iPhoto integration and a status indicator of what's recognized and what's not. You can't have it all off course in one day so remember we're still in alpha and hopefully boxee will become more and more stable in the coming months. Keep up the good work dudes

Music still not indexing properly and missing most of my library.
Also there is an option for an MTV video which often leads to nothing.
When playing videos, i get the option of playing a trailer on some movies and there isnt one found. Click it and nothing happens.

100% sure im using ATV 2.3, 90% sure on the latest patch stick but just to be safe doing this should do the same as using the newest patch stick correct?

    EDIT:
**Update: Did the above (removing the settings file) but my ATV is still stuck on black screen ^^, so im guessing that its not an issue related to the latest patch stick - but rather something else i have no clue what it could be though...

An overwhelmingly poor response to this latest update. I hope steps are being made to bug fix these issues. When is the next release due? Lets hope its bug fixed and not just more half baked features that add bugs and glitches. Why are features being added at all when music indexing still doesn't work properly. Please work on getting the basics right team Boxee (Videos, Music, Pictures) build on a solid foundation then innovate.
