Boxee box periodically pauses playing local audio files
Whenever I play any local audio files (accessed via Samba) boxee will periodically pause for a few seconds before resuming playback (when pausing the audio stops, and the equalizer screen display freezes in place - keeps spinning round, but the bars freeze). This occurs about every 5 minutes or so.
Playing video files accessed on the same samba share work fine (so I don't think that this is a buffering issue), and after reviewing these forums I turned off all uPnP servers on the network, but the issue remains.
Boxee is connecting wirelessly to a wireless-n network, but again given the lack of issue playing local video over the same network I don't think that this is a network issue.
Anyone any other ideas?

I see the same thing pretty regularly with music only as well. Even though I'm not using wireless, I originally thought it was due to using some pretty large flac files that weren't buffering properly, so I was surprised when it persisted with much lower bitrate mp3s too.
I stumbled across this reported issue this evening when I was browsing the JIRA for upcoming fixes : http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-7275 - looks like it may already be resolved for one of the next releases.

Good spot - that does indeed look like the issue. Will keep an eye out for the update to confirm whether it resolves the problem.
Many thanks,
