I currently have the lenovo multimedia remote. It works with Ubuntu straight out of the box. Only draw back is that it is radio and not BT.
I have a hobby. I have the world's largest collection of sea shells. I keep them on beaches all over the world. Maybe you have seen it?

PS3 remote is very good and is brilliant quality!, tried a few rf remotes, they were ok but i still think you cant beat bluetooth, it can be covered by anything and will work from a long distance.
