well then is certainly a boxee software issue because YouTube works perfectly on my laptop so it can be an issue with YouTube now the problem it on the boxee software that is affecting leanback, vevo, the browser and who knows what else is just anoying the impression the development team are given as a department that does not know what they are doing or by lack of leadership on their department I wish darlicious would be incharge over there as he seems to be the only one that understands and make things happen as they should be

Interestingly, when on the youtube site if I leave fullscreen mode there was a link/message at the top to try YouTube LX -- I did and not only was I able to login, I was able to view videos (from Boxee Box).

    Thumbs down Me too

Same thing is happening to me. Was fine this morning, audio but no video tonight. Also I access my Youtube subscriptions via the RSS app, and from there they no longer start playing automatically. I have to click a play button that appears in the top left corner, which I have to do in browser mode, and then it will start playing, but with no video.

Short term (hopefully) work around: in the Boxee Browser, use the url: http://www.youtube.com/xl

This is also having the effect of breaking any other app using YouTube videos.

Perhaps a warning of the dangers of the internet TV community relying too heavily on YouTube as its backbone. It's often changing stuff to try to inhibit downloading, for instance. Whether or not this change is actually directed at Boxee in order to force people onto XL for some reason is of course a matter for uninformed speculation that I shall resist mentioning.

    Oops, I just did.

I've no patience for additional online media setbacks. I'm seriously considering taking a sledgehammer to this thing. I don't really care who's at fault here. Happy to report that youtube videos play just fine as an unsupported feature of my DirecTV HD-DVR.

This is YouTube html5 site. I hope boxee drops flash since it cannot get it to work.
