That is not true and I never said or even implied anything like that...!

I know (or at least assume) that they are working on it...but I'd still appreciate a bit of feedback or information about the status of certain issues...!

Of course the devs don't owe us any kinds of explanations, but it would still be nice to hear from them how far they've come to fixing problems that we experience...

And of course I know that at this state of development we are all testers who are given the privilege to participate, but that doesn't mean they can't keep us in the loop...!?

Anyway, it also means that for me the testing phase will be over as soon as I set up a satisfying replacement, because I realized that in the end I'd rather spend my time watching TV shows and movies than dealing with the repeating hassle of being an alpha tester for an application that has huge potential but at least for me still has too many obstacles in everday usage...

This also isn't meant as criticism towards the devs, who are doing a great job -- it's just a very personal and subjective decision based on my very own priorities...! I'll still try be involved and follow the development on an occasional basis...

@ Mile ..no offense taken ..i would love that every bug or annoying issue will be fixed ..regarding the status of bugs this is something will probably do in the future but not now ..you can see we are trying to fix bugs as quickly as possible as well as improving the content by the versions you get to test as well as trying to get more feedback from you guys in regards to what content you would like to see...I know we sometimes repeat for more information when an issue arises but we need to see if it is happening on a specific /or several machines this will help us solve the issues ..we are still in Alpha need all the help from you testers to get to a good and stable Beta version..

@ marcel: I know that you guys are doing the best you can and I am sympathetic with all of you and really do appreciate the effort...! And ever since I became part of the Boxee "family" I have been trying to contribute as much as I could within my limits...

But right now I've reached a point where i have to make a decision for myself, because primarily what I want to do is enjoy my videos, TV shows, movies and music -- everyday and without really thinking about what's happening or without having to re-create and report some kind of bug or anomaly...

I love what Boxee promises to become, but at the moment I can't use a truckload of the offered features anyway, since they are not available over here in Germany...so it comes down to media center basics for me an I think on the Mac there still is no better and simpler, cleaner solution than Apple's FrontRow...! In combination with the Sapphire plugin it does everything I need on a daily basis, at least for now...

As I said, I will still be part of the community and keep an eye out for future progress, but at this stage I just can't be involved that much anymore...and just like I don't want to use two dfferent text editors or two different browsewrs on my Mac I don't want to use two or more different media center solutions on a regular basis and thus have to decide which way I want to go for now...! And at the moment, unfortunately, it's not going to be with Boxee...

That being said, I'm more than confident that I will be back as a happy Boxee user once the remaining bumps and glitches have been worked out -- it's just that I don't see myself as an Alpha tester anymore...

I've only been using Boxee for a short time, but this issue is the one that pops up the most and is the most annoying. It occurs most often when I am browsing my local music. The odd thing is that it doesn't always happen, generally when I'm browsing or leave it idle for a while

I'm running a Macbook 2 GHz Core Duo with 1 GB of RAM, OS X 10.5.5
