App to Create "Smart" Playlists
I've been doing some searching and there appear to be a lot of ideas out there for building a better Boxee music player. One simple idea I had was an app to be able to create "smart" playlists, such as play all "Genre=Rock", or play all "Artist=The Beatles". Is this possible?
I've searched as well for code/apis to access the Boxee library, but I haven't come accross much. Can you access the library and search based on metadata like Genre or Artist? If so, then it shouldn't be too hard to be able to create some basic smart playlists or an app to build them.
Looking forward to some responses. Thanks!

I will be trying my best to make this part of the upcoming playAnything release, playAnything is based on random playing, not so much in order, so the genre thing should be easy enough, the albums though will require a different function.
Look for this functionality in the future of playAnything. We should be releasing an update soon with a completely rewritten backend so it's now lighting fast.
