Thats my guess as well. Part of my movies are on an external and some on an internal hdd. tv shows are on an external hdd as well.
    Internal gets recognized. External not.

I have all on my TV Shows and Movies on the internal HD (running a Mac Mini, only one user) and now the movies are still there but all the TV Shows are gone.

I tried to re-add the source of the tv shows but that didn't work... I tried to re-add the folders in the finder, no result either. I don't wanna erase the whole library so please someone find the solution to this problem

i don't think thats the problem, i think its just taking a REALLY long time to index the TV Shows.

I'm sure if you go into your movies folder, your TV Shows show up there, right? Atleast they did on mine

After erasing the library, I waited for about 2 hours (didn't actually wait but came back after two hours) and it was working. TV shows showed up as usual.

Even if its not the external hdd.
What's weird is is that Boxee doesn't even pull the metadata if I browse my external sources manually, which it did in the previous version.

Copying a tv show on my internal hard drive for testing didn't help either. Still not recognized after manually browsing it in the sources.

Okay, but why would it even have to re-index the TV shows again anyway...?! Shouldn't it just use/copy the information from the previous library...?!

Also the movies and music shows up instantly...whouldn't there be a similar effect of sorts...?! But obviously it did have the info for those, so why not the TV shows...?

I've had it running for about two hours now and the TV shows are still completely missing...!

i mean your absolutely right... i'm just letting you know what happened with me. It shouldn't have to re-index. But, erasing your library isnt really too much of a hassle. It takes about a second to erase, and then all u need to do is leave it to re-index.

I have nothing on my internal HDD, everything is on my server running through an SMB share. Everything is working fine now for me, good luck guys! Actually, try exiting boxee and going back in, not sure if that would help but worth a try.

I have the same problem. When going to my sources they're all still there and when I select a file it is actually recognized by boxee. They just don't show up under the main menu. When adding new stuff running version 0.9.5.4497 they do show up under TV Series.

    One more problem here:

I added an episode of Survivor (2008).
Boxee recognized it as an episode of survivor so I tried to correct this.
No problem there, the right tv series showed up and I recognized the file correctly. The problem is that under TV Series there now still is a series called survivor. I now only have two tv series, one called survivor and one called survivor (2008). There's also no episode to be found under survivor.

Browsing through the sources works fine though

I also like the new icon for a folder. Much better than the + symbol of the previous version.

Of course it's not the actual erasing of the library that bothers me -- it's that I have to keep it running overnight before I can actually use it again...!

But something got definitely messed up here, this shouldn't have happened...

Anyway, here's a little update: After I had Boxee running for over 2 hours now it shows exactly one TV show...! So yes, it is doing something...but at this rate it might take days for it to list all my shows...!?

With the previous releases I would usually see it go to work instantly and then one show after another would pop up, but now it's just taking forever, it seems...

hey you know what... i exited boxee, came back in and everything was gone! All my movies and TV Shows!

So, did it not save the library? is it re-indexing again? This is my theory, I think that Boxee needs to complete indexing all the files before you can exit. If you exit before its completed, you lose everything. But there is no progress bar... I could be wrong, but this is what it seems to me

UPDATE: Now its back again and everything works, jeez... make up your mind Boxee
