Default New UI - Select My Local Files - getting Internet Files

Funny thing. When I downloaded the new UI update on Christmas Day, the system worked as expected. Selected Local Files rather than Internet files (don't remember exact wording).
The last two days, when I turn on the BBox, I get the question, I select the option for my local file preference and when I go to movies or shows from the home menu (or the menu bar), I get the internet streams shown, not my local files. I checked the update status just in case something was wrong, but it shows the latest firmware version.
I can still get to my local files, as before the update, but it's a hassle for the wife/kids.
Is anyone else seeing this issue?

You can change that in the settings. You can set the default containers of shows, movies and music to have either internet and local or one or the other instead. If you want to be sure you are only looking at local, then use your local media paths instead..but you don't get the fun media scraping and stuff that way.

Are you getting the question about whether you prefer local or online content every time you turn on the box? I only got the question the first time it started after the update was applied, and I don't get it when I restart the box. It is possible that the setting files have become corrupted or there was a problem applying the update.

You could try clearing the settings in the recovery options to see if this fixes it (this will lose all your settings including sources). If it doesn't you might need to do a restore to factory settings and reapply the update (this is more of a last resort if clearing settings doesn't work).

I was getting that everytime I rebooted the box.

All that having been said, I was instructed by Boxee Support (on a different subject) to do a "Reset All Settings". It looked to them like there was an issue with the upgrade.

If it continues, I'll post more here.
