Default Can't get boxee to recognize JAWS.

No matter what I do, it just insists on saying this is Jaws 3D. I have tried running mediarenamer , manually renaming the file, etc, etc. But boxee is convinced that my file ( a 720p of the original Jaws) is Jaws3 no matter what I do.

    Anyone else seen this?

How is your movie file named? (http://boxee.zendesk.com/entries/426...al-media-files) Have you tried: Jaws.1975.avi (or whatever the media extension is)?

Have you tried manually resolving it? (http://boxee.zendesk.com/entries/326...vie-or-tv-show)

I have tried several different file names:

    Jaws.mkv
    Jaws.(1975).mkv

etc...I cannot use the manual method as it does not show up as an unidentified file..it thinks it has identified it fine..but it hasn't.

You can use the manual resolve/identify option by navigating to the file (wherever it is, eg via MainMenu>>Files>>Browser>>Network).

Have you tried including an nfo file? Just open up a blank text file, copy and paste the entire IMDB.com URL for the movie into it, and then rename the text file to Jaws.1975.nfo (assuming your movie file is Jaws.1975.mkv...just make sure the names match exactly besides the .nfo extension). Make sure the new nfo is in the same folder as the movie, and try re-scraping. That has solved every movie look-up problem I have encountered, so let us know if that didn't work.

Thank-you, that worked. I didn't realize I could do it like that on a file that did not show up already in the unidentified list.

    Cheers
