Boxee box freezing bug and opinion...

I've got mine Boxee Box and i'm very disappointment.
I'm using the latest firmware available and it freezes at least 5 times a day.
It freezes when i watch movie, then pause it for a few minutes and when i resume it, the sound continuous but the picture freezes. Only power on and off helps and it sucks.

The second disappointing is vent. It is damn laud and it make me nuts. Apple TV is compared to BB is totally quiet. I'll try to change the vent or mod it somehow in the near future or. i'll trash it.

The third thing that bothers me is Avner or. how the hell he calls himself. Month before ha was talking about open platform so the people can use BB also for other things like porting XMBC to it, installing FireFly,..... and now when the boxee is here nothing is there, they have implemented some sort of encryption so the users are lock out from figuring things and make it better.....Shame on you, liars...

The third thing is that it does not have an option to be able to delete or. rename files on SMB share from BB. XBMC does have this option and is very useful.

Searching online for subtitles have only option for subtitles.org and not for example for sublight.si. Also step back compared to XBMC.

Well if you ask me the perfect dedicated media center is still AppleTV (old one), with XBMC, and ubuntu 8. It is rock stable, dedicated and it works like a bomb and with crystalHD card inside is top compared ti this alfa product.

I hope someone will figure out the copy protection so the XBMC will open new dimension on BB or. you can be fair and give us this option like you said before.

This one I have to admit is hard to fault.. Avner was quite plain spoken in how this WAS happening, how it was important to the Boxee team, and would be possible.

Now theres some stepback on this.. I have been sent an email I wont quote.. But I notice they have never come out and admitted this promised feature / option is no longer on the roadmap.

Mine freezes up a lot, too.

Worst yet, my network files (videos) just stop playing randomly. Sometimes, very often.

But I hate to say it, I wasn't impressed with the WD TV Live Hub today when I tried it out, either. Guess I will keep the Boxee box and pray they fix some of these problems.

Constant freezes here as well, I send in my logfiles with no replies back....

Whats the point of submitting them?

I too am very disappointed in the box, I still reply on my old xbox with xbmc on it.... Its crazy to think that hardware that is a millions years old still is more reliable than this
