Is there any way to root a Boxee Box and add third party patches like a phone?

It would be really awesome if some developers could somehow get some gaming emulators running on the Boxee Box.

I know that Boxee couldnt officially add them as emulators carry some copyright issues, but I would totally be willing to hack and install them on my Boxee Box if I could!
