User registration does not accept names in two parts

Hi, my name is Henning von Vogelsang, with "von Vogelsang" being my last name. Moments ago I wanted to register my account at Boxee, using my first and my last name. The system didn't let me register with my name, stating I didn't use the right characters. I assume this is due to the space in my name.

There is no different way to write my name, just like "Di Caprio" or "De Meuron" are italian and french names written in two parts. I assume there are a lot more names like this out there, so I might not be the only person having this problem.

I really want to register to try out Boxee, but I am not willing to change my surname in order to participate. The registration form doesn't provide any other source of help, so I ended up posting this issue here on the forum.

I hope you will fix this issue soon, as I am looking forward to test your service.

You seem to have a thing for these kind of "features"
Even when I'm writing this post, it doesn't allow me to use the tag "name" for this thread...

We are aware that there is a problem with the registration with special characters as well as white spaces which we do intend to fix .

However we have a work around at the moment for you, so you can enjoy boxee and have your name properly added to the system.

Please first register with your name without the white space so you can enter the system.

After you have registered you will be able to update your details via the account page (http://app.boxee.tv/home/account) where you will be able to add the white space.

Sorry for the inconvenience but we will fix this problem as soon as possible.
