Default ui sluggish after latest update

Is it just me or is the UI, specifically the movies and apps sections scroll really slow now. I noticed they scroll really slow when I am trying to go through faster than just a slow click because it brings up the letters on the side. Prior to this it was somewhat slow but not really a big problem. Its seriously making consider returning the boxee, but then I get to actually playing local content and it performs almost flawlessly. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

Same here, it does feel significantly slower.

I noticed that too. I did a hard restart which seemed to improve it quite a bit, but it still seems a little slower than before.

Anyone from boxee team hear complaints about this, just curious?

What is your CPU usage at while the UI feels slow? Enable the debug in system settings to see it at the top (CPU0). Mine idles around 30-40% and the UI is fast.

If your CPU is sitting at around 80-100, check and see if you have windows file sharing (the SMB server) enabled in your network settings. Turn it off and exit that screen, see if that drops the CPU back down again. That has been my issue.

I havent noticed any slowdown from the previous build, but then again Ive been mostly problem free too. Everything seems to transition as smoothly and as quick as it did with the build prior to this one.

Mine idles about 35-40% but when I am scrolling through my local movies it jumps all the way up to 90-95%. Have never had windows file server enabled.

i'm noticing long delays when it's trying to get a video preview of my video files now, this didnt happen before. i just see the spinning 'ball' or whatever it is. this is on a usb drive attached, so you can eliminate network. sometimes it loads the video preview right away.. sometimes it just spins
