    Default Canadian Networks Get It!

I just came across this article on CTV News site.

To summarize, talks about Boxee, Roku, GoogleTV and how CBC & CTV get that people want to watch shows online via their TV set top box when they want. Their advertising for the online content is primarily sold out.

Avner chimes in as well about getting uniformity across the board with the streaming content..

Good news for Canuck Boxee users.

Wow, thanks for sharing the article.

Also, noticed yesterday, some user named Gilles asked,
Avner: Could you also consider testing Discovery Channel Canada? It’s the same player as CTV, which you already have, and it works equally well. Thanks.
    Avner replies with,
thanks. will put it on our ToDo list.
    Hope!

That'd be me. You should also see Comedy Network streams improving shortly (All the CTV networks are moving to their better player). I thought that comment about online advertising was odd though. The only ads on the cable network shows are their own promo ads. I think they're underestimating the cable cutters once everything works well. I've already done so, personally.

If you want to watch Discovery shows now, you can do so by opening the browser and going to http://watch.discoverychannel.ca. It's a bit glitchy as most flash seems to be on the box, but you can get it to work.
