Default port boxee to the original xbox

Sorry if this is a FAQ, I did look. Any plans/timescales for XBox support? XBMC is still my main media playback device - I'd like this to replace it in time.

Yes, it would be good if my activity in XBMC (on xbox) found its way into boxee.

    cheers

I would love to replace XBMC on my xbox with Boxee. Any idea if it would build for the xbox like XBMC does or would the features boxee introduced not be easily compatible? I frankly know nothing about writing software for the xbox and its hardware, but seeing that its based off XBMC, it seems quite feasible.

How ironic.. a request to port the ported version back to the original platform.

    Thumbs down

Boxee on Xbox would be kind of like biting the hand that feeds you, (as less XBMC users equals less XBMC developers which indirectly equals less people contributing to Boxee overall)

Plus add to the fact that it would be illegal and as Boxee is a commercial company it makes a much better target for a law suit, (at least compared to the XBMC project that consist of a bunch of open source developers scattered around the world who only code for XBMC as a hobby).

I don't see why boxee can't be like PlayOn by Media Mall Technologies. It seems like it's better than PlayOn. If I load PlayOn on my Windows PC and go to my Xbox under Media then Videos and press "X" I see PlayOn and it shows Hulu, CBS, CNN, ESPN, YouTube, etc. But boxee seems so much better.

I would love to see an xbox build of boxee. I'm really jealous of appletv owners right now who get to use boxee on their device. I still use my original xbox with xbmc as the main way of streaming content to my tv. I understand that the legality of releasing an xbox build gets in the way of things though unfortunately.

That would be waaay tight. Well at least I have an ATV and don't have to tote my Xbox from my living room to my bedoom all the time now. Boxee is way cool and indeed it would be nice to replace XBMC on my Xbox with it.
