Boxee Box firmware update 1.0.2.16619 (released Dec 13th)

Hi,
How do you change local vs online profiles?
I did chose when after upgrade to use the online. Now how do I chose to go back to local profile?

Settings > General > Menu I believe

I did look under that but could not find any settings.
I know I was prompted after upgrade with a dialog box to chose the profile.
Then I re-booted and that dialog box never comes back to chose the profile.
Anyone tell me how exactly this is done?

Just here to say I'm most impressed with this latest update. I'm not a picky owner, I was just looking to have a nice GUI for my local content. Boxee is just perfect for that at this point, so THANKS guys for that.

On another note, I was quite disappointed to find my 720p .mkv skipping last night. Been this way from the beginning and I've read of many others reporting the same issue. Does anyone know if a ticket is open for this bug?

No problems here, tried several clips and movies yesterday after the update and all are playing ok.

it might help to first do a factory reset and then the update.

Tried the factory reset and it is still sluggish bringing up the menu bar, and it has locked up trying to back out of things (menus, etc). Ugh.

When are we going to get the long awaited browser fix?
I am sure that I,and most of the people who bought the Boxee Box are
mostly interested in the Online content.
As it is right now you can not sign in in most of the websites or play the
majority of online videos.
I play my local content trough my other media players.
I bought the Boxee Box because it was advertised as to be able to play,stream
any video available anywhere on the Internet.

You are wrong in that assumption, I am mostly interested in making a large library easily accessible for the rest of my family; this is the challenge for Boxee, to make both type of users happy.

What are you not seeing????When you go through the steps that I have given
It says:
"Default for Shows" Files (local) or All (Online)
"Default of Movies" Files (local0 or All (Online)
Default for Apps Favorites or All

Not sure what your missing here...

Please either add to an exsisting thread with the same issue or create your own thread, just saying "my 720p mkv is skipping" is not enough information. Ive played both 1080p and 720p as well as SD avi files without any skipping or issues. Well need the mediainfo output of the file in which ever post you make as well.

Where did you read a date for vudu on the Boxee Box? I must have completely missed it...

As it is right now you can not sign in in most of the websites

This is already marked as fixed for the next update, due before the end of the year.
