My Boxee box remote just stopped working?

Hey I am experiencing the same problems the remote just stopped. I bought two new batteries nothing worked. I tried the reposition and nothing. I even tried to download an app and none of them can find the server to connect,even when I type it all in manually. The App on my droid use to work. Looking for any type of help.

My remote had been dead for several weeks. I replaced the battery but nothing changed.

At last today I found a solution thanks to the advice posted by D. Renney in Jira: http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-83...#comment-55209

I copy the recipe here: "turning off the Boxee then unplug the power and hdmi wait a couple off of minutes plug them back in and fire it up." I also re-paired the remote at the same time that the Boxee was starting up, but I am not sure if that helped.

In any case my remote is up and running again.

I just wanted to add myself to the list of people having problems with the remote. One morning, after using the box the previous evening, I turned on the device (I usually use the power button) and the keyboard would not work. Replaced the battery, and tried to pair it. Nothing. I used the iPhone app for a few days before starting to look for a replacement.

Anyway, I happened to run across a suggested to unplug the box, then try again. Sure enough the remote worked again. I'm running 1.5.1.x firmware, which this should have been "fixed," no?

Anyway, add that to the junk list of things wrong with the box.

The Boxee Box must be the worst product, any category, I bought during the last 20 years. It is simply not stable enough to be on the market. I am now on my replacement for the first I bought. The first could not connect to any network. Kind of basic functionality? The interference with other units is unacceptable. The user interface is crap. I even found dead ends, where I can not go back. Add ten other issues to that. I have spent more time scrolling forums for this product than using it. Now my remote stoped working. Tried everthing recommended here with no success.

I will try to get my money back. I will absolutely get rid of this piece of junk from my livingroom.
