    Default Audio problems

I have loved using BOXEE to organize my Music, Pictures, and Video collections. I have been developing the hardware and software for the past 7 months to deploy in my home in Tampa when I return from a 10 month contract for GDC4S.

The product worked just great when one day the audio just dropped low! I can play all my content with other Windows tools and Itunes, Media, etc. with the same volume and clear stereo I enjoy all the time.

When I play now from BOXEE the volume is too low to hear unless I set my control well past 90% which I do not want to do!

I have spoken with other users who said they too have had this problem and it went away or other less specific answers.

Is there a problem and how is it I can fix it?

We're gonna need a lot more info on your setup if we're gonna help you.

What hardware is in this computer? How do you have your sound adapter connected to your audio devices (receiver? computer speakers? HDMI? SPDIF? Analog?)

Have you tried adjusting the volume in Boxee (+ and - keys)?

Have you tried reinstalling Boxee? Are you running the latest version?

Just provide as much context to your problem as you can.

Sorry, I was referring to the "+" and "-" keys on your keyboard.

I would be too embarrassed to even start about the years I have worked in this field including years in kernel development! I have in my defense that often the obvious can be quite a problem to one used to looking deeper.

The +/- keys are of course on my keyboard and for unknown reasons the volume for the application was in the basement!

Thanks.....your note has solved my issue!

    Glad I could help!

We really do need a sticky or a page that has a comprehensive list of all of the Boxee hotkeys. As far as I'm aware, none currently exists. Seems silly to have this undocumented.
