    Default ITunes digital copies

Does the DRM on iTunes digital copies prevent the Boxee Box from playing them? Movies that play fine on my Apple TV 2 don't want to play at all.

    Yes.

DRM'd content from Apple will only playback on Apple-approved devices and software. Boxee Box isn't one of them and given how closed Apple's DRM policy is, it's unlikely it ever will be (unless something changes quite bit at Apple).

Thanks. So is there a way to import a digital copy purchased with a blu-ray into a format that can be played by the BB or preferably both?

You could try googling for something (e.g. remove drm from itunes videos); but doing so is technically "illegal" and pretty much beyond the scope of these forums...

I wasn't looking to circumvent the DRM. Wondering instead if the BB could playback the Windows media version.

Is that format not already supported? http://support.boxee.tv/entries/1050...-boxee-support

I suspect though, that the windows media version is DRM'd as well
