Oh jeez, no... from what I understood, you were looking for a way how to force a rescan, and that was what the way I posted does. You don't need to select each and every movie folder for a rescan, just select the main mother of all folders using the method I posted and boxee will immediately rescan everything that's inside it. Solved?

From memory when I did this is said something along the lines of 'waiting to rescan' or scan already scheduled..

Currently they are samba shares.. Tho I have a usb3 external drive enclosure ordered so that will change to local (and boxee running as a NAS) as soon as it gets here.. Hence I am not driven to massive change now when I will go local in a day or twos time.

First time around it was the same.. Took ages (days) to find and categorize my library.. As I dont like the imdb cover art scraping, I have used ember to build tbn files with local cover art and when that was done deleted the DB and told it to rescan (yesterday morning).

Right now it can see the files via samba.. It has scanned my 3 main shares (music TV and movies) and has only maybe 20% of my movies, and 0 of my TV found.. They are there by the share, its done one 'daily' scan, yet its report is 0 files identified of 0 files found (or similar). These are the precise same files named the same way it had before the DB deletion.

But as I say.. I am just waiting to see if they propagate while also waiting for the drive enclosure to go local. I can still file browse for the next day or twos viewing habits.

what happens if you manually identify any of your content? specifically your tv shows while checking 'try to apply season details...'

edit: also using .tbn, .nfo and folder.jpg only works with movies at this point, not tv shows.

Yup, that's exactly it. It will say something like that and will start scanning shortly after. If you jump out of this menu and come right back you should see the status as "Scanning..." or something similar.

The earth spins once every 24 hours. So, 12 hours after mid day it will be mid day over the other side of the world.

Therefore the true figure would be 12 hours after midnight of that day (GMT).

Or you could just look in the time zone settings of windows lol. The max it can be is +13 hours.

It's an update worth waiting for by the sounds.... but chill out it's not like it will let you boot XBMC or anything hehe.

Correction: If one person was in Nuku'alofa, saying "update monday" to someone in Samoa, it would be 24 hours behind, according to the Samoan. (correct me if I am wrong)
