I ended up getting something similar over here in Germany but mainly because the wireless routers you get with the DSL lines are so flaky and constantly lose wireless. The Powerline works well for me for my local files on my NAS but I've never tried it with any bluray type material so I can't attest to what speed it actually gets.

make sure you read reviews... i have heard both good and bad about these, depending on house, wiring, etc..

Make sure the retailer you purchase from has a good return policy! :-)
