    Default Request for 0.9 iso

Hoping someone might have a working link to the v0.9 iso.

Pre-ordered my first box. Didn't like v1.0 so following the tuts on here rolled back to 0.9.

Picked up a second box yesterday but am unable to get the same results. I have tried several variations.

    -Reset Settings, Factory Restore
    -Don't Reset Settings, Factory Restore,
    -Disabling screensaver
    -blocking app.boxee.tv.......dl.boxee.tv.......app.boxee.tv/chkupd/dlink.dsm380

Hoping the old ISO will be the cure. Any help greatly appreciated.

What version of software is on your boxee box original box... if it says 0.9xxxx which it probably does it does have 0.9 as factory restore... not being able to get to it is your issue

original (first) boxee box I pre-ordered is currently running 0.9. I actually followed the instructions in your post to get it back to 0.9. So thanks for that.

I followed the same steps for the one I picked up yesterday and am unable to get it to work. Also tried advice from other posters about blocking the update in my router. I'm always prompted to upgrade.

Have attempted this several times, with different variations but this box is not responding the way the first one did. It's been suggested that all boxes shipped with 0.9. Just wondering if that's not the case and a possible hang up for new boxee owners.

I appreciate that this is "my issue". Thought someone could offer a suggestion, or a link to the 0.9. iso that I could try running it from a usb.

    Cheers

    On the bottom of the physical box that your Boxee Box came in there is a sticker that states what revision firmware it has on it when it leaves the factory. Looks something like;

    Code:
    H/W Ver.: A1 F/W Ver.:0.9.21.14131
If it says "0.9" then a factory reset *should* return you to 0.9.

Ah thanks. Hadn't thought to look there.

    Bottom of box says H/W ver.:A1 F/W Ver.:0.9.21.14131

But how does one do this, you do the factory reset, but as soon as you start you get a button 'upgrade'.

there are no other choices.. If you reboot, it still does upgrade as soon as you go back.

Is there a way around this?

Well I don't want to be mean but yeah it is your issue. You are not blocking on your router the right links and posting the 0.9 ISO is probably against the rules anyway. 0.9 has quite a few bugs that 1.0 fixes..... don't hate your box cause you are unable to have a proper share if you're running 0.9 just saying....

Back on topic... you should be able to downgrade to 0.9 if it's on the box. You just need to block the proper domains... you do have 0.9 as your recovery OS already
