Do you know the router model by any chance?

There's a new version released in couple of days. Could you wait till it's released? It includes couple of bug fixes. I know it's not convenient but I don't have anything else to offer at the moment.

    Thanks for trying to help.
What is really frustrating is that it was working just fine.
Still works fine with the ethernet but I have to drag a wire across my whole apartment.

I'm adding some extra information to the box logs so once you upgrade (in couple of days) send the logs to shay at boxee dot tv.
There's no need to reboot the box inorder to get the logs, just try to connect to your wireless network, produce the log and send them to me.

I have a WRT54GL running tomato, setup with WPA Personal/TKIP, SSID is 4 letters all lowercase.

I can connect fine, but the boxee box will randomly lose connection, only to regain it in about a minute. This is very frustrating because if I'm watching any streaming content it will kick me out and lose my spot.

Is this a known issue or is this a defect in my box?

    Hi,

This seems like a new issue that I've never seen. Can you please send the logs to shay [at] boxee [dot] tv?
Do step 1 and 4 from this link - http://support.boxee.tv/entries/3292...w-do-i-do-that but instead of 'Send to Boxee' click on the latest log file (named something like boxee.1290854877.1862.tar.bz2), the file will be downloaded to your PC. Please send me this file.

I'm having a similar problem. I just received my BB five days ago and it connected to my wireless network right out of the box. Updated without issue. I turned it off that night and the next day it will not accept my password to reconnect to my network. I find this odd because it connected the day before with the stored network password without issue, now nothing. It finds my network easily but after entering the same password as the day before it will not connect. Using an apple airport extreme with security WPA 2 Personal. I have tried changing security and other settings without change. My laptops connect without problems.

    Hello Shay,

At my witts end with a wireless connection problem... I've made threads only to find them deleted... I've been posting in the "Boxee Box firmware update 1.0.2.16619 (released Dec 13th)" thread lately... however people are troubleshooting in circles, and it hasn't been too productive overall... please help me before i return the unit (or smash it to shits ands make a potentially viral youtube vid)... jks... sorta.

my boxee connects to the network wirelessly without issue with factory shipped versions of software/firmware... However, when updating.... and powering off... no further connection is possible. (pls note, boxee will stay connected with update applied aslong as no power off is done, once first power off is done while unit is updated... something happens, and boxee will no longer connect)

After attempting to connect to my home network with TWO different Linksys routers (e1000, WRT160n), trying WAP2/AES, and No security (open network)..... I'm still unable to connect. (errors out with "unable to connect to network, check your password"... even says this with no security)

the latest update is clearly at fault as my boxee connects fine prior to applying it..and i have now tried TWO routers (e1000, WRT160n) with NO security.

    Things to note:
I still haven't checked eithernet connection... however i never intend on using it.

With factory shipped software... boxee functioned flawlessly, i streamed 2 mkv's wirelessly in entirety with minimal stutter....

Because i have tried 2 routers with no security encryption enabled, the only thing that changes in the equation is the Boxee firmware update...

Boxee scans and see's networks with out issue... just won't connect under circumstances mentioned above. Whaddya say ??
