..to the newest firmware? Or is there too many issues/bugs at this point?
My boxee is working good with the current (1.0) firmware and I'd hate to get everything screwed up.
Any warnings?

Seems like a minor improvement on the last one... Subtitles are less messed up, but generally it doesn't seem hugely different. IMHO it's worth taking the firmware.
Honestly, the firmware fixed things I don't use or have on my network. Or were MKV's with different encoding than I use . And I had no issues with 1080P resolution on my HDTV.
So, on that note, the update did nothing to improve or reduce the level of performance given my personal usage. I'd go ahead and update.

Ok, thanks. I heard of some loosing their wi-fi connections and stuff. Didn't want that to happen to me.
For me it was worth upgrading for the alternative black level option alone. Looks much nicer now. It also seems like thumbnail updating is a lot quicker now. Not quite back to 0.9 territory but acceptable.
I'm not sure if I'm going to fall back to 0.9 again because of the persistent system-freeze-on-resuming-from-pause that's still present for me in this version or try to tough it out without downgrading. Before this it was a no-brainer; I really didn't see any point in sitting and looking at dozens of black rectangles with spinners in the middle all the time.

My .02...
DEFINITELY worth the update. Now, I'm not sure if what I consider an improvement due to the update is *actually* due to the update (some of the things mentioned below are not mentioned in the update details), but here's what I experienced:
BEFORE-watching most/all streamed media network stuff that wasn't *specifically* HD, iow network sitcoms, news, drama, CBS/ComedyCentral/PBS, etc came off as somewhat blocky--watchable, mind you, but blocky with seeming codec artifacts nevertheless.
AFTER-dramatically improved quality, just about SD DVD-quality for a lot of previously 'artifacted' streams to the untrained eye.
BEFORE-The box would hang after lengthy use (say 8-12 hours),
AFTER-Though its short time yet, the box hasn't hung since the update yet...about 24 hours now.
BEFORE-starting/buffering streams could be rather lengthy, say up to 30 secs on some streams.
AFTER-starting/buffering seems snappier in general.
BEFORE-Audio dropout of playing streams after 40-50 minutes, the *real* reason I applied this update! After using the Box for a few days, I began to realize I hadnt actually seen the ending to any show I'd watched yet! Why? The audio would drop out just about at the climax of your typical dramatic program, and I'd just move on to something else.
AFTER-I've become re-acquainted with the concept of dramatic climax-resolution!yay
All else being equal, I'd say: do the update, you'll be glad you did, and it doesn't (seem) to make anything break (for me)

Intel-Macmini/8Gig RAM (yes, all addressable) w/500G Seagate 7200rpm hd, 8Tb LG N4B1 NAS, hacked/Crystal'd Apple TV, Boxee Box streamer, DIR-655 N-router, iSight, dual 20" Apple flat panel
Also it appears to load up the lists for files much faster too as it was taking an age to get have the list and then images appear.
I'm undecided at the moment. I had a few minor problem before but my wireless was working perfectly, the lists took awhile, but it never had any problem finding my shares, or accessing them.
After the update, especially after I turn on my machine after I shut it down. I can't connect to my wireless network, i eventually get it to connect, it sees my shares but can't access them, after a few restarts it finally sees everything.
Even tried wired and it sees the shared but can't access them, but this can be related with the wireless problems.
On the other hand some online content seems to work better than before, I have less buffering on 720p movies, still some but not as much as before.
If it wasn't for the network problems I would say go for it.
I tried upgrading (it failed midway), but now I can't connect to my wifi network. Very frustrating. Tried upgrading via USB, but it says that there are no USB devices (even though i have a thumb drive connected). Feel like just sending this back and getting a 2nd Roku (a great device!).
I've had a bunch of problems since the upgrade. I'm not sure why you pose your question as if you have the option not to update. Boxes has made this a mandatory update so unless you block the upgrade URL in your router you will be getting the new version eventually.
