Default New firmware: Wrong movie posters upon identification

I'm on the new firmware and as I am identifying the unidentified movies, it finds the correct movie but may or may not have the correct poster. Some did and some did not. I pressed "done" on them thinking it would pull up the correct poster anyway.

So I go and browse through the Movies -> Files and it actually saved the wrong poster. I go to a few of the movies that I identified (at least the ones I remember, but it's going to bother me that I will have some incorrect posters and I don't remember which ones) and I try re-identifiying again and one of them pulled up the correct poster after searching and clicking on the result 5 or 6 times. Then I go to another movie to try to re-identify and it wouldn't pull up the correct poster after more than 10 times of searching, clicking, back, searching, clicking, back, clicking.

I removed the share, added it for rescanning, and afterwards, it's still showing the wrong poster, and I even have the correct folder.jpg in the folder.

What it is was, on the second movie I identified, it showed the poster from the first movie I identified. Then the third movie, it showed the poster from the second movie.

I'll be playing with the update a bit later, but I can say that the WDTV looks at your own .jpgs like this:

If you have 1 folder full of movies, then each movie needs to have it's own .jpg with the exact same title as the movie.

If you have a separate folder for each movie, then you can either use folder.jpg or name the .jpg the same as the movie.

I'll update this later when I get around to it. I pretty much only use custom cover art, so this will be a big feature for me.

I have the same issue and I have to go back and re-select each movie that is not identified to get the right poster, that is doing a twice selection. This needs to be rectified ASAP

A lot of movies will have the same name - this is inevitable. A fix might be to add the year to the filename.

There are movies that even when the year is in the folder name and filename as well, it still doesn't correctly auto-identify.

Anyway, I would think this incorrect poster issue will be resolved in the next update.

Same here buddy, I have a few movies that have no posters at all, but recognizes the movies. For example one movie I can remember is Ameile, the french movie, I remember because me and my gf watched it not too long ago and I was like huh? weird no poster then I tried to identify, again no poster, but it showed the name of the movie. So yeah hopefully they do fix it before it becomes a reallllly known problem.

This is NOT fixed in the latest update that i just installed today.

I think all are missing the point. I am going to start a new thread about this as I believe it to be pretty bad.
