I just updated to the new firmware (which is exciting)... it seems like any .iso file I play now starts playing at fast forward speeds. If I tap rewind or fast forward, it begins playing at normal speed again.
.MKV and .AVI seem to be unaffected.

I've decided to give up on this BB... I already have a replacement on the way, and now, this one appears to be screwed. When I try to boot it up, it stays on the initial "Loading" screen, and the BB logo flashes red... w/e, I'll start from scratch when the new one shows up. Hopefully, I just got a dud.
It's actually whatever plays first... for instance, I have some DVD images where I've removed the menu. So when the file is accessed, I go straight into the movie, but it is playing at FF speeds.
I do have a few DVD images with the menus as well, and in these I experience the same behavior that yo're seeing... (menus in FF).
I have the same speed problem on ISO after resuming. It fast forward. I have to retstart video from the very beginning.
confirmed.
This is horrible. While I know the Boxee team is working hard to make improvements, this is a step backward.
guys all .iso on the new firmware are playing at fast speed? Did this happen on the previous version? Did you upgrade from 16125 >16319 or from 0.9 >16319?
Are these files over smb? usb connected external HD?
If you move the movie forward 20 seconds or so it solves the issue?
I was at version 16125 and never notice this till I upgraded yesterday. Didn't notice it yesterday but when I turned it on today and played an iso video it happen. Tap on the fast forward and it resumed regular playback.
I believe it showed up in the new update -- it only happens when resuming a previously played DVD ISO -- to fix it I simply access the >> button click on it and the content starts to play at normal speed - or as mentioned, start the ISO from the beginning
I updated from the 1st v1 to the yesterdays new v1 update
It happens over wired SMB from a USB HDD
And it only happens on DVD ISOs - not BD ISOs
