    Default Sync Issues

I noticed on a couple of my XVID AVIs, if I watch them on my computer they're fine, but if I watch them on my Boxee box the audio is out of sync...

And what's weirder, the first time I played this one XVID AVI, the audio was about 1/2 second behind the video, I came back to it later that day, same spot, now the audio was 1/2 second before the video.

I've played this video on my computer and it keeps perfect sync the entire video.

Also had some fun where I paused a video to go grab some food, came back and the screensaver was on, hit the button to resume play and it just locked right up, video frozen and audio repeating a 1 second segment... had to hold down the power button to turn Boxee off.

I **really** want to like this box, but so far its got a lot of bugs it seems...

Let's say your 45 minutes into when it happens, now you gotta start at beginning after the power down to catch up, but god forbid you go pause again (just pretend your at a real theater and the movie never stops).

    Default Audio video sync issues

I just bought the boxee and noticed sync issues with a home movie .avi file only. It plays perfectly well on my mac but on boxee sync way off. Any ideas for fixing this?

You need to submit the video info to boxee so that they can do something about it. Talking about it without any specific information for the team doesn't help.

In the meantime, you can go into the audio settings while playing the video and manually adjust the audio timing. Just hit the center button, go up to the gear icon, go to audio and adjust your timing.

Yeah, if you could scan the file(s) with MediaInfo and post the output .txt file here, that'd help with diagnosis of the problem.

Linking to a 10-second sample video would also be helpful, but that's a bit more involved.

I haven't had any issues personally.
