Unhappy CBC.ca Flash Player - Not working

    Hello Boxee Boxers,

I'm trying to watch "The Rick Mercer Report" (CBC Show) on my boxee box.

However, the flash player they have on CBC.ca doesn't work on the boxee box,
    This: http://www.cbc.ca/mercerreport/video.html or this: http://www.cbc.ca/video/#/Shows/The_Rick_Mercer_Report/

Please help! Is there a way I can watch this show using boxee?
I don't mind writing an app for it, but I could not find the RSS feed for that show. And I doubt there is a feed, because the content is ad supported.

    Any hints/tips greatly appreciated,
    Thanks!

EDIT: Also the show is under "TV Shows" in the boxee menu.

Worked for me and didn't work for me.

When I did the universal search for the show (typed Rick Mercer while in my friends screen) the latest video didn't load.

When I went into the show by doing the following Shows --> Channnels --> CBC --> Rick Mercer, it did load.

    strange

Can anyone else confirm this? Is everyone having the same issue?

Check the "list of Repos" sticky in the Boxee Box help thread -- there was a repo that offered CBC but it didn't work for me and I assumed it was bcz I'm located in the US - but not sure about that - it may just be broken for now

I went via browsing and searching and in both cases after I clicked on any episode of Rick Mercer Report there was a full 15 seconds of black screen before the video started to play and after the loading dialog cleared. But in all cases the video played.

So I tried on another CBC show, Being Erica. As soon as I clicked I went into a pre-roll ad that took about 15 seconds before the episode started to play.

Make me wonder if it is a glitch with their pre-roll. Both cases the video played back.

I wasn't able to get it working in any way (through browser or via Shows), even after waiting a bit. I am located in Canada and it works on my PC. If I go via Shows, the first time I try an episode, it doesn't even go to the episode page (It goes to the video listing for the show). The second attempt, it does but still never shows any video.

    I tried via channels->cbc->passionate eye

Website comes up, can navigate, no video will play

Actually, none of the videos work for me. One the browser opens, I can move the cursor...but cannot click any links (it behaves as though the button is not registering a click).

I have had this browsing problem where "clicks" won't register quite often in the browser. Also sometime the cursor will randomly relocate to another spot (often the upper left corner, or center)

Thanks so much for all the feedback and testing everyone!

I was able to get the player working, sort of, what I did was:

    1. Menu > TV Shows > Channels > CBC > "The RMR"
    2. The browser starts, if the video window does not show up , exit the browser.
    3. Go back into the show menu and click on the episode again
    4. You should get a better result now, if no luck with the flash player, repeat from step 2.

Basically it seems the browser needs to reload the page again and again until successful.

    Hope it helps! Good Luck!
