Is my Boxee box faulty?

I'll keep this short..

UK owner. Problems reverting to 0.9 & missed downloading the 0.9 ISO posted elsewhere. Got the black screen w/sound with all content so restarted, now YouTube HD content plays but from a usb hard drive video is choppy at best, at worst just a small part of the screen refreshes every 5 seconds with a thumbnail of the movie... Have changed HDMI cable, same same. TV is a 47" lcd JVC, about 2 years old, 1080p and content from the same hdd played fine using a WD TV Live (which I sold before the Boxee arrived).

Is this what the finished 1.0 product does, or is my box faulty?

Steve, try switching to 720p. There's a known bug with 1080. The fix should be available very soon.

OK, thx, switching to 720p means I can now actually see something :-)

Bit more than a 'bug'; I'd say it was pretty much broken.

Will persevere with the 0.9 'downgrade', 3 attempts so far and still thwarted, cannot escape that "You Must Upgrade" prompt....

Yeah, in Avner's words (CEO), "nasty nasty bug". A fix should be out in a few days, I think.
