Default Leave your box powered on?

I'm just curious if people are leaving their boxee boxes powered on all the time. Currently, I've been shutting mine off when it's not in use (during the day when we are at work). I was wondering if others are just leaving it in standby mode.

I only ask, because currently with the once a day scan option, it seems that I am defeating myself.

I leave mine on and have standby mode enabled in screen saver option.

Also i have put a kill a watt on this and if leave 24/7 only costs around $1.30 a month.

Really?? thats awesome! i was wondering about the power consumption. I mean on standby, its only a small light, little network activity. There is no hard drive and the CPU wont be doing much, so it makes sense.

Thanks for the info. This is something important, and I'm glad somebody posted it.

Hmmm no one brought this up at the Q&A.
Why is boxee box drawing more power in Sleep mode than video playback and how can that be fixed?

They should work a bring it down to the Energy standard:

Televisions originally qualified for the ENERGY STAR label in 1998. ENERGY STAR qualified televisions must consume 1 watt or less in standby mode.

I leave mine on 24/7 as well. But that might change when scanning intervals get revamped.

I leave mine on to work around the bug that deletes the media thumbnails each time you power cycle the device. How that made it into a final build is baffling...
