BOXEE BOX Hdmi audio ouput issues

HDMI Audio Issues,

i got my Boxee, i connect it to my Samsung LED TV it works great.

i decided to put in the basement on my projection System
i have a Yamaha Amplifier where my xbox360 and apple tv, Dishnetwork Receiver all HDMI are connected.
so i connected the boxee to that AMP, i can see video but no audio.
i took back the boxee to my samsung tv, audio and video work over HDMI

when i plug it in my Yamaha no audio only video.

Any IDEA? i think it has HDMI compability issue the boxee box

I am having the exact same issue as you are. I am using a Yamaha RX-V863 and I get a failed to recognize each time I sure to set it to HDMI. I am having to use Optical Out right now, hope it gets fixed soon.

On my friends receiver I can only get 2 channel to work with his Denon. Any 5.1 sound doesn't play sound.

Too bad to have bugs like that.

my apple tv work great even my WD live plus.

i will wait this week and if no go, i have to return it to best buy,

even over optical did not work , i have no clue why.

i assign my amplifier audio input to optical still no audio.

any input from DEV's or tech people if you can help here.

as i tested it on 2 yamaha same problem, i used like three different hdmi cable rev. and still same issue.

Since both people who have posted have Yamahas could it be something special with them? I say this as Flynn posted no issues and has a onkyo. There may be something happening with the Yamahas in particular.

HighTymes, for your friends receiver, please make sure that the Audio output in settings (Setting-> System-> Audio) is set to S/PDIF (and you check the checkboxes according to your receiver’s supported formats)

For your receiver and for ziadsa, I would suggest select Digital (HDMI) instead of the "all" that's by default (and checking the checkboxes according to your receiver’s supported formats)

Its already to set to HDMI, but no go.

I'm using an Onkyo receiver, no issues.

Again, Ill say it looks like a Yamaha isue 3 Yamahas all the same problem, 2 Onkyos both with no issues.
