that looks like official copy from D-Link so I assume that it's official pricing too.

Damn thats expensive, and once it gets released outside of the states expect to see it at roughly ~$80AUD
The Tivo QWERTY remote goes for double that here. It seems very reasonable to me.
Will it work on regular PC's?
Right now I use that lenovo media keyboard which uses that optical ball mouse.
The boxee remote works kinda like a wii-mote pointer right? Its pretty ingenious since the remote actually looks like a remote rather than a keyboard.
Not exactly sure what you mean by this. The wii-mote is an infrared pointer that needs a receiver to capture continuous movement. The boxee remote is an RF remote that would need an RF receiver (one is built into the boxee box) but it only has four discrete movement buttons. The wii-mote is analogous to a mouse, while the boxee remote is closer to your keyboard's arrow keys.
While the Tivo remote is more expensive, it does more, much more. If this was closer to the $25-$30 mark than sure.
I'd pay $50 for a backlit version of that remote. If someone came up with a DIY backlit version I'd be even happier.
