is milkdrop in v1.0 or was it also one of the great features that were dropped? if it was, any plans to bring it back?

Seems like it was dropped. Milkdrop is the best visualizer there is- is there no visualizer in 1.0?
Also I think this is the wrong section*
Milkdrop was removed. No info on why...

Was MilkDrop in Boxee Box .9 or not? Not sure if some posts are referring to the beta or the Box.
I'd love to have MilkDrop . . . been running it with Winamp for years and was stoked to see it in the beta. Got the BB now and was hoping to see it there, too.
My theory: BB is underpowered and can't run Milkdrop properly. When running Boxee 0.9 on my older PC, milkdrop would make the whole thing stall.
They could just drop the frame rate to make it run. The hardware was pretty good from what I read on engadget.
So what happens when play music on BBox? Black screen or album art?
there's only one option (waveform is gone as well): a colorful 3D equalizer that you can see on the video of the launch event. I think I remember this was one of the viz already available in 0.9
the BB is about the same specs as my Acer Aspire Revo 1600 and it ran MilkDrop nicely. I really hope they bring it back. If it can run a 1080p MKV with DTS surround, I think it can handle MilkDrop. I know thats not a 1:1 comparison, but hey . . .
well, on my old htpc boxee could play ripped VOBs fine but lagged like crazy when displaying milkdrop. Whatever the problem was I think they took the easiest route and got rid of milkdrop.
I've been examining the BB file system and noticed the existence of opengl_spectrum.vis in /opt/boxee/visualisations. It looks like in theory someone could copy open the projectm vis files and drop it there.
