I don't know if it is a Bug, but for me it is. After installing Boxee i lost my Remote control connection with my Mac. I tried everything, but no Remote. Then i searched the Mac Forum and found something about a Program that would not give back the Remote tot the System unless you unchecked the 'Reomte Always on' setting. Then i thougt about Boxee. I looked into it and yes there in the setting about System and Hardware, there it was. I unchecked it and had my Remote back in my System. I don't like that. I think Boxee has to let go of the Remote after Quitting.
