Default How does Boxee resolve multiple episode files?

I am using the standard convention of Show.SxxExx-yy.ext to name my files which are two part or multiple episodes, but when they are resolved in boxee, all I get is the first episode of it. For instance, Bones.S04E01-02.Yanks in the U.K. (1).avi resolves as just Season 4 Episode 1. There is no reference for Episode 2 in Boxee. How is it supposed to work?

Well, according to IMDB.com, Parts 1 and 2 make up Episode 1 so arguably, Boxee is doing the right thing. (Granted, neither tv.com nor thetvdb.com list those two parts as one episode... but Boxee uses IMDB so there you have it)

Ah ok. That makes sense then. Otherwise, how would Boxee handle a file that has two episodes and is listed in IMDB with two episodes? Does it just import the file twice and give it two entries? Then how does playback work? Do both episodes start from the beginning or does Boxee start halfway for the 2nd episode?

    Should be named like so:

    Bones.S04E01.Yanks.avi
    Bones.S04E02.Yanks.avi
    Bones.S04E03.Yanks.avi
    Bones.S04E04.Yanks.avi
and so on for each episode number after that.

    S= season and E=episode.

Misc split movie tittles would be like so:
    The Book of Eli - 2010 (CD1).avi
    The Book of Eli - 2010 (CD2).avi

Boxee does not "currently" auto play the next ep or CD in a series when the first one completes.

Check the First STop link in my sig. There is an entire section on naming files.

That wasn't what I was referring to. I understand how to correctly name files. My question was regarding combining episodes into one file, whether it was from an ISO or when TV shows sometimes combine two episodes into an hour program. When you have a video file with two episodes combined and IMDB recognizes it as two separate episodes, do you get two entries in Boxee or one entry?

    So use this example:
    MyShow.S01E01-02.avi
    MyShow.S01E03.avi

    on IMDB you have:
    MyShow.S01E01 - Episode 1
    MyShow.S01E02 - Episode 2
    MyShow.S01E02 - Episode 3

In Boxee, you would then have a Show called MyShow and the under Season 1 would you have

    MyShow
    3 - Episode 3
    1 - Episode 1

    or

    MyShow
    3 - Episode 3
    2 - Episode 2 (links to MyShow.S01E01-02.avi)
    1 - Episode 1 (links to MyShow.S01E01-02.avi)

    With Movies, when you have:
    MyMovie-part1.avi
    MyMovie-part2.avi

It resolves as MyMovie and plays continuously.

Oh, a single file with multiple episodes????

The only way I've heard it can be done is with a symbolic link file in Windows.
Use the search feature in the forum for symbolic link and you will see how others have used it. Not sure how well it works and with what file types, but that's the only way I recall you can do it.

I seem to recall was with multiple files in an ISO. But you'll have to do your due diligence on this research as there is no Boxee way to do what you ask.
