ZBOXHD-ID11 / Ubuntu 10.10 / ION2 ?

It seems that I am getting mixed results when googling this and "search" this on the forums. Please feel free to flame me if I'm a noob at searching.

I have a ZBOXHD-ID11 running Ubuntu 10.10. I believe it has the nvidia ion2 gpu, and it appears that there is a reasonable linux driver for the gpu.

It is running really slow, and crashes from time to time. One specific example is when running the latest episode of southpark, it crashed.

Am I screwed? Should I install windows? I really would rather not, I'm also using it as an SVN build server :|

I've had pretty good stability with my ZBox ND22, also running Ubuntu 10.10.

Is it only boxee crashing, or the whole computer? If the whole machine, you may want to do a memory test and make sure your hardware is stable... otherwise not sure what to suggest, maybe see if you can find an error log.

I thought Linux had to run a specific driver or something so boxee works correctly.... I'm not a linux guy at all.

Darcilicious, I saw you make a mention of this somewhere....Can you offer a suggestion.
