Disappointing. I was so happy to hear I could use the 2.3 update to aTV to use remote speakers using airtunes. Guess I'll just have to wait until you figure out the issues.
Boxee 0.9.22.13692 on Macbook Pro Dual Core Intel, OSX 10.6.5, Boxee Box sent back to Amazon for non-functioning :-(

Check out the info from awkwardtv's wiki they have some great info for hacking your appletv.
I don't believe this is true any more. In fact, ssh -1 fails on my box (forget the specific error). Not sure when this changed, but since most AwkwardTV content uses the "-1" switch you need to remember to omit that when copying anything from their site.

I was wondering what exactly the new update did to break Boxee on AppleTV?

Apple TV did a factory restore and now I am at version 1. How can I upgrade to version 2.2 and not 2.3?

Default My Apple TV is useless without Boxee

I hate Apple. WTF, I bought ATV but Steve Job owns it. He doesn't let me use it as I want. Does he has the right to wipe out my device that I paid $229? I hope someone will take a class action against Apple. Please keep their lawyers busy.

Grow up. Your magnificent outlay of $229 does not give you the right to call the shots on future upgrades. Hacks are hacks.... not within the user agreement THAT YOU AGREED TO.

    Stop whining.

Even TiVo who is outright friendly with the tivo hackers/modders occasionally borks their users with an update.... it comes with the territory.

I'm up and running and I do see a better stream from both Hulu and CBS way to go Team Boxee

version 1.0.b8 of the atvusb patchstick didn't work for me. It creates the wrong partition type. So I used version 1.0.7 and that works.

I followed the manual instructions and all is well.
