Default Hardware acceleration for 785G under Win7

    Hi ,
I'm running the latest boxee under windows7 pro. with a amd 250 x2 and a gigabyte 785g mobo , the checkbox in boxee for : use hardware acceleration is checked but for some reason it's not using it (the cpu usage jumps over 35% for 1080p movies and soemtimes hits 70%) , boxee is the only proccess running and i have the latest catalyst under windows aero skin .

    doesn't boxee support the 785 chipset ? thanks .

Hi, Welcome to the Boxee forums.

There is an issue with this. Please try to turn off (uncheck) 'use hardware acceleration' and give it a try. Also see this post.

Welcome to Boxee, My 785G (Radeon HD4200) is working quite well with CCC 10.8, but it all depends on what are you trying to accelerate, H.264 is the only codec (that I know of) supported by Boxee in Hardware Acceleration. If you are trying to accelerate other codec’s I guess it wouldn't work. Make sure you have the lasted DirectX runtime installed.
    Good luck!
