Will there be a new release of boxee when Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) releases? I installed the latest beta version of 10.10 and it has way better support for Nvidia + video settings.

I am sure there will be one at some point, but I would be surprised if it came out before the official release, however. Boxee has been quite conservative (and rightfully so) in this regards. If you look in the forums, I am sure you can find the thread with the official support for lucid and compare it with the 10.04 release date.

10.10 came out today, anyone tried Boxee out on it yet?

Just installed a fresh 10.10 and downloaded boxee, install not possible, Ubuntu Software Center says:
"Dependency is not satisfiable: libdirectfb-1.0-0|libdirectfb-1.2-0"
libdirectfb-1.2-9 is installed on the system.
Will try and see if I can do anything tomorrow, being tired and still slightly hung over is not the best time for experimenting on laptop ;-)
I have not been able to try it yet, but user has modified the boxee.deb file to take care of this dependence. See this thread.
