Portable boxee installed on a USB
This is what i would like to do!
The Mrs wont let me buy an expensive htpc so heres what i would like to do installed.
My TV has a wifi on it. I plug in a portable USB thumbdrive. Boxee is installed on my main pc.
It carries over playlist to my thumbdrive...Now i can play content from my pc.
Hope this makes sense.
Your thoughts on this! ??
ps i am running a ubuntu/linux mint pc!

Boxee doesn't have playlists currently and even if it did, I don't think it's likely that what you're proposing would work. The TV would have to be "smart" enough to know what to do with the playlist and get content from Boxee and Boxee would have to know enough to send it -- and most certainly doesn't do that.
Really the only way Boxee works with a TV is if you have a computer with Boxee installed and connect that computer directly to the TV (using the video outputs of the computer to the video inputs of the TV).
