Boxee Queue... seems worthless?

Why is it that the Boxee queue even exists? it seems that it's pointless... if I add songs or videos into the queue it doesn't even play them next... so what's the point?

You're right, playing the next item in the queue doesn't work -- the queue is not a playlist. Just a list ;-)

The queue can be used to let you know when the next episode of a show is available or as a target for the bookmarklet function.

My playanything app has the ability to play your queue from oldest to newest.

I wouldnt say useless. I just add all my daughters movies/tv shows to the queue so she can access from there without being lost in the 000's of my titles.

The general workaround of "give her a second login" is just too annoying to have to log in before boxee starts up so my workaround was to utilise the queue until such time as they allow more categories to be added so I can have Movies, Kids Movies, etc etc

Ditto.

I use the que all the time with the bookmarklet! works great for me, which is what it was designed for along with new episodes of a tv show.

Quing play lists would be cool to, but that's an entirely different subject.
