No, 64 bit browser nor flash wont work through boxee. It uses only the 32 bit FFox and Adobe Flash add-in.

You need to install FFox 32 bit then hit the regular Adobe Flash site and install the regular 32 bit Flash 10.1 Add-in for FFox. Done and it will work then.

    Install here:
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Double check what version installed here: (version 10.1.82.76)

I know I had Flash's 64bit preview release installed for all of 5 min yesterday. I tested boxee and that didn't work and I tested FF and that didn't work. I checked their forums and nobody posted any issues.

I just thought there was some kind of crazy performance gain according to the article. I couldn't get it to work and I didn't want to try IE9 so I uninstalled it and went back to flash 10.1

I guess that will be an issue for the future then. FF4 will be 64bit. Although there will be a 32bit version of FF4, I don't think you can run 2 versions of flash on the same computer. Does that mean Boxee won't support the 64bit version of flash when it becomes RC and then a standard release?

Not meaning to sound acrimonious, but not all of us have the 99$ to throw at each of the 3 HTPC's we have built from scratch to throw 7 on them. I am considering getting a technet subscription to remedy this.

Having said that I am certainly willing to live with the flash issues as I can stream 720p content (xvid) from my media server in the basement over samba just fine. And having free access to my music throughout the house is also a dream come true.

Thanks for a great project. It has brought me and my family much enjoyment.
