Mac mini HDMI broke after install

I installed Boxee and afterward my HDMI connection to TV no longer worked. Black screen shows with nothing detected on my TV, where before it would show the desktop background. Any ideas?

Mac mini, Intel Duo core.
HDMI cable connected to displayport.

Do you have another external monitor also plugged into the mac mini or is the TV the only video source? You might try holding the power button down for about 5 seconds to force shutdown and then start the computer back up. You could also see if the computer is starting up at all by plugging a standard monitor into it.

I don't really see how boxee would have caused a no video issue as I don't believe it modifies anything at that deep of a level on the computer. At the very least when you start your computer you should get the apple logo as nothing that has to do with boxee will have loaded at that time. It could have just been a coincidence and some piece of hardware failed.
