Thumbnail Artwork badly Scaled

Boxee finds large format cover artwork for Movies and TV shows from the internet.

It presents thumbnail (scaled-down) versions of the artwork on the TV and Movie pages.

The scaling-down of the images is not good, resulting in a pixellated thumbnail, rather than a correctly down-sampled image.

It looks like GL_NEAREST is being used.

doesn't look so bad to me ..however i do need my glasses to be fixed haven't had a check for years..

On my 30" display, the scaling is fine. It looks great! But it isn't scaling down by very much.

In windowed mode on the Mac, or on 720p AppleTV, the sampling is dropping pixels so that text is broken up etc.

There's another odd thing about thumbnails, after a while, they change shape when highlighted. Portrait format thumbnails get fatter or thinner when selected. Landscape format thumbnails get taller or shorter when highlighted.
