Boxee Can't Connect to Internet After Update!!

Well, the Topic says it all. I'm using Boxee on Ubuntu 10.04. Today I got an e-mail from Boxee saying that Boxee Beta 0.9.22.xx... was out and it included a new Movie Database Feature so I went and Downloaded the DEB and Updated my Boxee Beta 0.9.21.xx... The Update is completed and I go and Run Boxee, but what's this? "Boxee Can't connect Connect to The Internet...Blah...Blah..." You get the Idea. But it doesn't make sense, I have a Connection and I'm obviously using it right now on order to Talk to you. It worked fine before I updated but now it doesn't. I already tried Rebooting but it still can't connect. Does anybody have an Idea why it isn't working?

I think I'm having the same problem. Just tried downloading boxee for the first time a few days ago. Couldn't get on because no validation email was being sent to me and now it says I don't have an internet connection. Login cannot add a new user... (even though I'm signing on as an existing user) and Please check your internet connection.

I am also running Ubuntu 10.4

Same problem, same Ubuntu, 10.4 Lucid. I figured a quick deletion and reinstall would work... now I can't log back in, lol.

Went back in incremental jumps to version: 0.9.21.11487 and had no luck connecting with either of the previous versions either.

I am now stumped and await guidance.

are you wired or wireless? Which router are you using? are you using a proxy server?

Wired. D-Link DIR-635 Router.

Like the guys above I had no issues till the new updates and the rest of the Internet etc is perfectly fine.

Boxee is now running because I wanted to see if the TinyProxy "fix" worked for me too, which it did though it slows everything down within Boxee compared to normal.

So, yes, now using a proxy and it now works. Was not using a proxy before the update as it didn't need one.

Obviously would prefer to get it working without using other software.
