Collection/Series of Movies
I would like a way to collect a Set/Collection/Triology of Movies under one entry in the Movie listing. When selecting that entry all the individual Movies should be displayed in a Movie list only showing the members of that particular Set.
Little bit similar to how TV shows are listed.
Examples of collections:Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Bourne, Pink Panther etc.
This would probably be most useful to local files but also other files would benefit from it.
The syntax should allow to set the order inetranl order of the Movies something simialr to this: [SET <set name> -#] [SET Harry Potter -1]

I agree. It would be awesome to organize movies into collections (essentially a "subfolder" on the movie page). This would be great with Abbott & Costello movies, James Bond Films, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Aliens/Predator, Tolkien films. Some of these film collections have various names and you end up scanning around to remember where/what they are, or the order they belong in.
Creating an order would be desirable, but would settle for alphabetical listings. Of even greater need is the Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies & Disney shorts of the last century, of which there are probably over a thousand together. These are listed as individual movies and create a mess and an unnecessary load as these make a local movie listing hundreds of movies longer.
Maybe provide Boxee with an XML file with definitions. You could create a pre-named BOOT share that we point to a share on our network. This would create a storage area for boxee for future possibilities (like backing up our db!) and allow us to provide additional info. Another alternative, is that it must be on a USB drive plugged directly into the boxee. It would have to be there when the Boxee boots up.
This file would let you organize already-defined movies under a single thumbnail and title. It would have to reference the correct file location (any change would get the entry ignored) Individually the films would be discovered as IMDB entries as normal. Visually they would be grouped under something for readability and organizational reasons.
I would love to see this.
A variation of this would be to create a Genre to code titles into. There are Genres that aren't listed and we don't have a way to categorize them outside of the genres that (i assume) IMDB placed them in.
