Default Milkdrop in WIndows 7 64

First of all I installed boxee and the Default milkdrop.vis file didn't work and made boxee all laggy when it was being used. So I pulled the milkdrop.vis from xbmc and was able to get that working.

Now the issue is that milkdrop will only play one visualization and wont change. I'm trying to find a way to make it transition or show me a list of presets or something that would let me mix things up a bit.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thank you :-)

Ok so I've found the Milkdrop.conf file but I'm having a hard time understanding what needs to be changed to get this working. Is there documents on this?

I'm not sure if this is specific to the .vis from xbmc or something else, but I've found what is happening to me in the XBMC forums. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?t=12954

I get the config file changing after using milkdrop on boxee and if you look towards the end I believe there is also someone that is not able to get more then one preset being displayed. Which is the main issue I am having.

I see that they say the issue has been fixed since then so not sure what the deal is.

Does boxee use a older XBMC version?

While Boxee and XBMC have some code in common, it's not accurate to say that Boxee is a clone or fork of XBMC. Fixes in XBMC may get implemented into Boxee or they may not depending on how XMBC code Boxee has for that particular feature that isn't working.

Ok but its safe to say in this case that the same issue has been present in both Boxee and XBMC at one time or another. I find it unusual that I am the only one experiencing this with the most recent release of Boxee for windows.

It might have something to do with your setup? Hard to say since you didn't post anything about it and instead, tried using something from XBMC to fix a problem you're having with Boxee.

Personally, I haven't experienced any issues with the Milkdrop visualization in the latest Boxee running on Windows 7.

Hmm ok. Well sorry if I didn't go about this the right way. I'll try starting from scratch and see where that gets me. Uninstall and delete all files and then reinstall, etc.

Milk drop will play only one series of visuals and does get stuck. I have to click to another menu and then back to cycle through. You can hit the Esc key and then back again to get it to transition. It's been doing this since the first beta release.

I've never bothered to mention it as there were sooo many other things for the devs to focus on.

Mine has always transitioned, from the very first beta. In fact, I've had to recently muck with keyboard.xml to get back the preset display and lock functions

I don't understand how this affects stuck visualizations? Please explain.
