    Default Problems with .ts playback

Hi there, I hope this is the right place to post this...

I am having problems playing back 1080i .TS files in boxee.

    Computer Specs:
    Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Latest version of boxee & flash player
    Intel D920 Dualcore 3ghz
    2gb ram
    Velociraptor Harddrive
    Radeon HD4850 w/ 1gb ram

    File Details:
    Size: 5.5GB
    1080i H.264
    MPEG-2 Transport Stream
    Video Bitrate: 16358 kbps

The problem is that the video is always very choppy (almost like its in slo-mo) with all sorts of lines running through it, occasionally I get flashes where the whole screen turns green as well. Playback in WMP or VLC is very smooth. There are no issues with the sound in boxee.

Anyone got any ideas as to what could be causing this? I was planning on adding some 1080p files, but it seems kind of pointless if it can't even do 1080i.

    Thanks for your help!

How are your .ts files encoded? Mine are from the Hauppauge HD-PVR / SageTV.

How are your 1080p files encoded -- that's what will have the highest impact on Boxees ability to play such files.

I couldn't tell you how the 1080i .ts file is encoded as I didn't do it myself, here are the details though:

As for the 1080p, I am using RipBot264 (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/RipBot264) to rip BluRay's to my PC.

It doesn't look like anyone is working on that bug report? Seems like it's been around for a while.

I tried disabling Hardware assisted decoding, but that made it far worse. I also tried all of the interlace settings, but they seemed to have no effect.

Randomly I just got it to work! But then I stopped the file and started it again and it was back to its usually choppiness.
