just did a search but no luck.
heres my thing.
i did a fresh ubuntu install following THIS guide.
everything works fine. audio video etc etc.
in boxee i set my audio settings to Digital. and the other 2 to default.
so the thing is. everything works exept when im tying to play DTS/DD5.1 mkv files the audio does not play. and i want to have 5.1 surround so im not gonna use the downmixing option.
but now i got this problem. during the 6 hour research on how to get the surround sound working, i did something weird. and now the alsa is not working anymore. in the sound settings its says dummy or somthing.
I had problems getting DD / DTS out of the optical output properly, I fixed it by adjusting the sample rate for pulseaudio, this thread helped me out: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...63&postcount=3
