Thread: Garbled Audio on ION330/Jaunty

    Default Garbled Audio on ION330/Jaunty

I have been having issues with both Boxee with Jaunty and my ION330 box at home. Audio works fine for about an hour or so of playback but then all of a sudden it becomes garbled and distorted and can only be corrected by completely restarting boxee, at which point it is ok for another hour.

I have tried various asoundrc changes, updated alsa to 1.0.24, removed pulseaudio and ensured I am using up to date ION drivers (195), but still the issue persists.

The same issue exists in XBMC, but can be resolved simply by pausing and unpausing either the video or audio.

Anybody have any ideas on this?

I can confirm the issue still exists after an upgrade to Lucid and Nvidia upgrade (.2650

How did you move up to Lucid?
Was it an upgrade or a fresh install?
Did you do a "clean install" of Boxee?

I upgraded via the upgrade option in Jaunty, no clean install. I have had the issue since Jaunty. I removed boxee completely and re-installed it after the upgrade, only keeping my library files.

The same issue in XBMC can be fixed by simply pausing and unpausing the video, in boxee it requires a full restart.
